What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through proper channels.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.

Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and/or help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site procedures and post orders.

Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and firearm, follow all use of force guidelines, and/or support coordination with site contacts and public emergency responders during elevated situations.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.

Be at least 21 years of age.

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
