PHYSICAL THERAPIST - PRN

This is a per-diem position.The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities within a hospital or acute care setting. This role focuses on improving mobility, managing pain, preventing complications, and promoting safe and timely discharge.Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions aimed at restoring functional independence and reducing the length of hospital stay.The Therapist collaborates closely with an interdisciplinary care team, including physicians, nurses, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals, to coordinate care and support discharge planning. Patient and caregiver education is a critical component of the role to ensure continuity of care after hospitalization.Additional responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, modifying treatment plans as appropriate, documenting care in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, adaptability in a fast-paced acute care environment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
