The Financial Planner will be the advisor responsible for creating
financial plans working collaboratively with the Wealth Management
account officers & reporting to the Senior Investment Officer, Financial
Planning Manager. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES, IN PRIORITY
ORDER: Client Service Provides advice to clients regarding financial
planning related issues such as social security optimization, Roth
conversions, college planning, long-term care, insurance, estate & gift
tax administration, wealth transfer & fiduciary issues. Prepare client
communications as needed. Financial Planning Develops financial plans
for clients as part of department service standards. Conducts targeted
planning analysis on specific wealth issues such as conversions,
gifting, college funding, social security, estate, & tax. Initiate
comprehensive planning including detailed cash flow analysis as needed.
Supports planning education & training for other the department & the
Bank. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert on planning software & vendor
relationships. Compliance Maintain current knowledge & understanding of
legal, tax &/or legislative changes that affect trust & investment
activities. Must have knowledge of trustee responsibilities relative to
investing trust assets, specific securities laws, OCC Regulation 9, FDIC
regulations & relevant ethical issues. Performs all duties in accordance
with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines. Must understand the
fundamental tenets of trust law. Team Collaboration Participation in
committees as needed & appropriate Provides any support necessary to
promote & support the acquisition of new customers for the Bank. New
Business Acquisition Assists in the education of Bank employees to
encourage the identification & referral of qualified prospects to the
department. Participates in meetings with prospects & clients to acquire
new business for the Bank & aid in the retention of existing clients.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS: (Minimum education required to perform the
duties of this position): Bachelor\'s Degree required. CFP preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a
Financial Planner required. Demonstrated ability to create financial
plans for clients. Ability to conduct seminars, network & participate in
one-on-one meetings with prospects. Detailed knowledge of financial
planning concepts & planning software required. Detailed knowledge of
financial planning principles & implementation. Well-developed knowledge
of the financial markets & the ability to communicate that knowledge
effectively to clients & prospects. Strong knowledge & skill level of
computer applications such as TrustDesk, Right Capital, eMoney,
InvestEdge & a desire to learn new applications in support of
departmental operations. Commitment to continuing education. Excellent
interpersonal skills. Commitment to the highest fiduciary standards &
customer service ethic that aligns with the Bank?s core values. Must
have cyber security awareness to protect the digital environment, the
