Summary The incumbent serves as the Administrative Officer for Health Administration Service. Health Administration Service (HAS) provides the leadership, policies, programs, services and systems necessary to meet the Health Administration requirements of the Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS). Duties include, but are not limited to: Reviews and evaluates guidance on various functions and procedures; identifies problem areas and implements actions to improve procedures, eliminate problems, and conform to policy requirements. Reviews purchase orders for supplies and non-expendable property such as equipment, to include computer hardware and software, and other specialized equipment necessary to the effective functioning of the office. Assists with conceiving and implementing initiatives and projects to strengthen, facilitate, and integrate HAS programs. Generates and analyzes data to analyze workload, staffing levels, and distribution, and other data-based parameters to facilitate management decisions by the Chief of HAS. Reviews financial reports and resolves discrepancies with the appropriate accounting office. Coordinates the establishment, maintenance, and deletion of user passwords, menus, and reviews employee's system access requirements as the service ADPAC. Oversees the management of time and attendance, space management, fund control points, budget and planning, equipment, supplies, quality control, public relations, personnel, supply, and data management responsibilities.
