Job Description
This 1st shift weekend Maintenance Electrician role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and improving electrical and control systems that support production, quality, and inspection equipment. You will work primarily Friday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems on production, quality, and inspection equipment to minimize downtime and maintain consistent output.
Move, position, and align equipment to ensure proper operation and optimal performance.
Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying issues, proposing solutions, and implementing machine and program modifications.
Troubleshoot and repair PLC, PC, NC, and CNC control systems to restore and maintain automated operations.
Diagnose and resolve issues with CNC machine controls using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Fanuc control systems.
Perform electrical work throughout the facility, including wiring, conduit installation, and panel work, in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Carry out basic mechanical installation and repairs on equipment, including components involving hydraulics and pneumatics.
Troubleshoot and repair PLC programs and hardware, identifying faults and restoring proper functionality.
Diagnose and resolve issues with HMI systems, including programming and communication problems.
Troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) to ensure proper motor control and speed regulation.
Identify and correct issues with industrial vision systems to support quality and inspection processes.
Perform robotic troubleshooting to restore automated operations and ensure safe, reliable performance.
Identify, diagnose, and repair electrical issues, including components, wiring, and electronic controls.
Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to share findings, support root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective actions.
Document work performed, including repairs, adjustments, and modifications, to support maintenance records and future troubleshooting.
Essential Skills
Hands-on PLC experience with at least one of the following control systems: Fanuc, Siemens, or Allen-Bradley, including the ability to connect to the PLC and troubleshoot issues.
Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, including diagnosing faults, interpreting ladder logic, and restoring proper operation.
Experience with CNC machine controls, preferably using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Fanuc systems.
Ability to identify electrical issues and perform effective repairs on industrial equipment and control systems.
Strong electrical repair skills, including wiring, conduit work, and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems.
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Robotic troubleshooting experience, including diagnosing and resolving issues with industrial robots.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair HMI systems, including programming and communication issues.
Experience troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Experience troubleshooting industrial vision systems used for inspection and quality control.
Mechanical aptitude, including basic mechanical installation and repair skills.
Ability to perform maintenance technician duties in an industrial environment, including machine repair and preventive maintenance.
Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
Ability to work independently on 1st shift weekend hours (Friday-Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) and manage priorities effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with industrial electronics and wiring in a manufacturing or production setting.
Background in industrial maintenance, including exposure to a wide range of production and inspection equipment.
Familiarity with robotic programming or adjustment in addition to troubleshooting.
Experience with PC-based control systems and industrial automation.
Comfort working with NC and CNC controls in a high-volume or precision manufacturing environment.
Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams and share technical findings.

Work Environment
The role is based in an air-conditioned industrial facility that operates advanced production, quality, and inspection equipment. You will work a 1st shift weekend schedule, Friday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., providing consistent hours and a predictable routine. The environment includes CNC machines, PLC-controlled systems, HMIs, Variable Frequency Drives, vision systems, and robotic equipment, offering exposure to a wide range of modern industrial technologies. Work is hands-on and technical, involving both electrical and mechanical tasks, with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and comfort due to the climate-controlled setting.
