As a Security Officer in Mc Lean, VA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time

Sat11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.

Monitor access at the front desk by greeting employees, visitors, and vendors, verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, and directing arrivals in accordance with site policies.

Answer phones, manage visitor logs, and communicate with site contacts regarding deliveries, appointments, and/or access questions in a calm, problem-solving manner.

Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations by documenting details, notifying the appropriate personnel, and supporting security-related response procedures.

Support a professional front desk presence within a aerospace and defense location while helping to deter unauthorized access through consistent application of post orders and client-directed procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.

Be at least 21 years of age.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
