Hiring: Cleanroom Technician/Medical Assemblers in Sorrento Valley , $20.50/HR
Job Description
This role focuses on assembling and building continuous glucose monitoring systems in a cleanroom environment within the transmitter department. You will perform highly manual, repetitive production tasks on a fast-paced manufacturing line, ensuring each component meets quality standards at every stage. The position requires strict adherence to work instructions, build plans, and electronic documentation processes while maintaining the pace of the line with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Assemble and build continuous glucose monitoring systems within the cleanroom transmitter department.
Perform highly manual assembly tasks, moving components one by one down the production line.
Manually pair and attach applicators to transmitter components with precision and consistency.
Package finished products accurately and securely for shipment to hospitals.
Inspect products at each stage of the manufacturing process to identify and remove defective parts.
Learn and master each portion of the production line, demonstrating proficiency across multiple manufacturing stages.
Operate independently on assigned stations with minimal supervision while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
Perform electronic line clearances and accurately enter production and quality data into the Camstar application.
Follow all standard operating procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) during all tasks.
Maintain the required pace of a very fast, repetitive production line while sustaining high attention to detail.
Comply with all cleanroom protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to contamination control rules.
Essential Skills
At least 4 years of medical device manufacturing experience.
Proven experience in production, assembly, and manufacturing environments.
Assembly experience in a fast-paced production environment.
Demonstrated ability to follow work instructions precisely without deviating from build plans.
Strong attention to detail when performing repetitive tasks.
Comfort working in a cleanroom environment while wearing full personal protective equipment.
Ability to follow SOP, GMP, and GDP requirements consistently.
Capability to maintain focus and quality in a highly repetitive, fast-paced setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with electronic manufacturing or quality systems such as Camstar.
Comfort working closely with others on a production line.
Reliability and strong work ethic to support long-term tenure in a production role.
Willingness to work occasional overtime, including starting up to 2 hours before the regular shift when needed.

Work Environment
This is a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You will work in a temperature-controlled cleanroom that is kept cold and located on a busy manufacturing floor. The environment is loud, and side conversations are discouraged to maintain focus and safety. You will work on a production line in close proximity to other employees in an extremely fast-paced and repetitive setting. Full cleanroom attire is required at all times, including a mask, goggles, gloves, hair net, shoe covers, a full bunny suit, and a head cover, all of which are provided. Due to cleanroom and contamination control standards, no makeup, jewelry, piercings, fake nails, or nail polish are allowed on the manufacturing floor. Overtime is not mandatory but is preferred, typically up to 2 hours before the regular shift when needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
