The Opportunity
We are seeking a QC Inspector III for our Vascular division in Temecula, CA. This role is fully onsite role.
Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.
What You'll Work On
The inspector provides an independent, unbiased evaluation of materials or the work of others. The results of the Inspector's evaluation is documented and communicated to organizational stakeholders with an interest in the evaluation's outcome - typically, this is supplier development and/ or manufacturing. The Inspector's approval certifies the work or material meets Abbott's quality system requirements.
Core Job Responsibilities
Audits materials and processes through examination, inspection, measurement, and testing of raw materials, components, subassemblies, final assemblies, and associated documentation.
Documents nonconforming or suspected nonconforming materials against applicable standards (e.g., manufacturing documentation, material/component specifications, operating procedures, and domestic/international standards) by identifying audit failures, completing required documentation and system transactions, and applying QA approval (stamp, sign-off, or signature).
Handles discrepant materials in accordance with documented disposition; ensures all activities are accurately recorded in applicable systems and/or supporting documentation.
Coordinates with internal departments and external sites/functional groups (e.g., Manufacturing, Planning, Customer Service, Logistics, and other distribution centers) to support the timely release, transfer, or receipt of materials.
Fulfills internal and external sample requests by accurately picking, verifying, documenting, and shipping materials in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.
Performs product "demo" preparation by relabeling materials in compliance with procedural requirements, including defacing or crossing out existing labels and applying approved demo identification stickers prior to distribution.
Ensures audit readiness by maintaining accurate and compliant records, inventory locations (both physical and system/SAP), labeling, and warehouse areas in accordance with current procedures; supports continuous compliance by maintaining up-to-date training on all applicable local procedures and requirements.
Performs basic statistical analysis through data collection, entry, and interpretation using software applications and/or manual calculations.
Issues, stores, counts, and maintains inventory across multiple storage locations; ensures alignment between physical inventory and system records (e.g., SAP) using appropriate material handling equipment.
Handles, transfers, and disposes of scrap and/or hazardous materials in compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, ensuring proper documentation is completed.

Documents the non-conformance or suspected non-conformance to standards (i.e. manufacturing documentation, material/ component specifications, operating procedures, and domestic/ international standards) through the identification of unsuccessful audits, the completion of required paperwork, system transactions, and affixing his or her mark (i.e. stamp, sign-off or signature)
Handle discrepant materials per the documented disposition and document activities in the appropriate systems or paperwork.
Communicates the status of audit metrics and other assignments, responsibilities, and duties verbally and through the completion and publishing of periodic reports.
Performs simple statistical analysis through the collection and input of data into software applications or manual calculations.
Issues, stores, count and maintains inventory into the different storage areas.
Handles, disposes, transfer and document appropriately hazardous waste.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Education
High School Diploma / GED or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Associates Degree or some college credits preferred.
Experience/Background
Minimum 4 years related work experience.
Applies broad knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices and a general understanding of department fundamentals. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations. Performs routine and non-routine moderately complex assignments using standard methods and sequences. Makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements to set processes as directed. Assignments require broad judgment in troubleshooting proven processes as well as the ability to suggest alternatives.

The base pay for this position is $17.85 - $35.75 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
