Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. Adheres to established Hospital/departmental policies and procedures, objectives, Quality Assessment and Improvement Program, legal, safety, environmental, infection control standards, Nurse Practices Act and Patient's Bill of Rights.

Applies clinical knowledge and expertise for coordinating patient care by regularly planning and evaluating the care of patients.

Establishes and maintains professional and collaborative relationships with other staff members, physicians, patients, patient family members, and the public as appropriate, while assuring confidentiality of all patient information.

Demonstrates effective nursing judgement and a working knowledge of the nursing process.

Provides guidance to interdisciplinary team members by supervising nursing interventions and assisting with related tasks.

Provides leadership by establishing priorities and coordinating nursing care.

We are not currently accepting new graduate or new to speciality applications. Our next posting period will be July 1, 2026 for an October 16, 2026 start date. Positions can be found under National Resident RN (12 months experience as an RN.

This position is represented by SEIU L121 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement

Job Requirements

Required

Minimum one (1) year current acute care registered nursing experience in specialty area , upon hire and

Current and Active, Registered Nurse: CA

AHA Basic Life Support / Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Fire Safety, within 90 Days

Preferred

Experience with open heart and balloon pump and

Experience with EHR (Cerner, MediTech, etc)

Trauma Nurse Core Course, upon hire and

Critical RN Adult/Neonatal/Pediatric/Acute, upon hire

Serving over 80,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level II Trauma Center, heart care, cancer care and women's health. It is the only pediatric trauma center in the San Fernando Valley.

Pay Range

$52.90 - $75.30 /hour
