Lead Construction Materials Technician (Traveling Role)

Nationwide Travel Required | Data Center Projects

Overview

Seeking an experienced Lead Construction Materials Technician to support large-scale data center construction projects across the U.S. This is a traveling role ideal for someone dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable leading teams in the field.

Key Responsibilities

Perform field testing and inspections on construction materials

Document daily observations and ensure accurate reporting

Review test data for completeness and quality

Lead and mentor technicians on large project sites

Coordinate with engineers and clients to meet data center project specs

Requirements

5+ years of construction materials testing (CMT) experience

Experience on large commercial, industrial, or data center projects

Strong plan reading and field data collection skills

Knowledge of Special Inspections

Proficient with MS Office (iPad experience a plus)

Valid driver's license with good driving record

Ability to travel extensively and work overtime/weekends

Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Required Certifications

ICC Soils Special Inspector

ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector

ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector

ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician I

Preferred Certifications

ACI Concrete Strength I

ICC Prestressed Concrete Special Inspector

Nuclear Gauge / Radiation Safety

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
