Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $19 - $19 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Industrial Sewing Fabricator:

Operate industrial sewing machines to join pre-cut patterns; align materials and complete filter bag sewing on 5 threads overlocking and single needle walking foot machines

Create new and custom bag patterns for non-stocked sizes

Cut bag patterns of multiple materials and layers using handheld rotary blade

Report any equipment or safety concerns immediately to assure a safe work environment

Follow production schedules and priorities

Monitor and maintain stock bag inventory levels and communicate daily with shop supervisor

Unload delivery trucks using a forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment

Verify inventory counts and physical inventory as required

Move materials in and out of work areas and the warehouse as required

Alert management of out of stock or low stock levels as discovered

Identify and label boxes, packages, and products as instructed by the picking information, your manager or Supervisor

Pack and ship smaller orders for safe transport

Prepare orders for shipment via UPS and LTL Freight

Be flexible to move over to minor assembly role when needed

Perform additional responsibilities as requested

Understand and practice ADS CORE VALUE

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

Inspect parts during assembly and upon completion to assure compliance with established product quality criteria

Speed and Accuracy operating all sewing equipment. (Training will be provided.)

Make minor repairs to assigned machines. (Very rarely.)

Ability to work in high pressure situations. (Short deadlines with self motivation.)

Adjust machines to stitch various @types of fabrics

Comfortable working with a computer

Comfortable standing or sitting for long periods of time

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

1+ years' experience operating heavy duty industrial walking foot sewing machines

1+ years' experience processing orders for shipping and or receiving

Be capable of lifting 40 lb. 4' long rolls of fabric onto cutting racks at shoulder height

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle or free objects

The use of common hand tools and occasionally sharp tools are involved

The employee frequently is required to talk, hear, and communicate with other employees

The employee must be able to move and/or lift objects up to 50 pounds often

Background check and Drug test required
