Job Title: ADE - VA (Field Sales and Business Recruitment Associate)
Job Description
This role supports a new delivery program by recruiting local businesses to join a delivery partner network. You will spend most of your time in the field visiting prospective businesses, presenting the program, qualifying leads, and guiding them through the application process. You will collaborate closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors to drive business signups, build community relationships, and support recruitment events. The position involves regular travel within approximately a two-hour driving radius and offers an uncapped commission structure tied to partner conversions.
Responsibilities
Visit prospective businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately a two-hour driving distance to identify potential delivery partners.
Present and pitch the new delivery program opportunity to prospective businesses in a clear and compelling way to generate interest and encourage applications.
Qualify prospective businesses based on program criteria and guide them step-by-step through the application process.
Lead follow-up activity with prospective partners and manage a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities in Salesforce.
Support the Field Manager in planning, coordinating, and hosting recruitment events in the community, such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.
Partner with the Field Manager to build relationships with local influencers, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals and expand program awareness.
Import Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis to ensure accurate and up-to-date tracking of leads, applications, and partner status.
Provide exceptional customer service to prospective partners by answering questions, addressing concerns, and helping them navigate any challenges in the application process.
Proactively identify and solve problems for applicants in the field to keep the recruitment and onboarding process moving smoothly.
Maintain professionalism and a high sense of urgency in all interactions, representing the delivery program positively within the local business community.
Essential Skills
1-2+ years of experience in sales and/or customer service.
Outside or field sales experience.
CRM experience, with Salesforce strongly preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
Ability to manage and track leads, activities, and pipelines in Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
Proficiency with Excel for handling and importing spreadsheets into Salesforce.
Ability to travel up to approximately four hours round-trip daily to visit targeted towns and prospective businesses.
Attention to detail with the ability to accurately document activities and maintain organized records.
Problem-solving skills to support applicants and address issues encountered in the field.
Comfort working with multiple systems and technologies, demonstrating strong technical aptitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in roles involving sales and/or negotiation with customers.
Field sales experience is a plus beyond the required outside sales background.
Demonstrated professionalism and enthusiasm for working collaboratively with others.
High sense of urgency and strong initiative in driving business recruitment activities.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with local business owners.
Experience working with community organizations, chambers of commerce, or economic development associations is an advantage.
Motivation to work in a commission-based environment with uncapped earning potential.
Comfort operating independently in a field-based role while staying aligned with a Field Manager and broader program goals.
Work Environment
This is a field-based role with significant time spent on the road visiting local businesses. You will typically be on the road 4-5 days per week within roughly a two-hour driving radius, with the remaining time spent working from home to complete administrative tasks, manage your Salesforce pipeline, and coordinate with the Field Manager and team. The role is based in or near Lynchburg, VA, and involves daily travel of up to approximately four hours round trip. You will regularly use a CRM system (Salesforce) and Excel, along with a mobile phone and other standard office technology, to manage leads and communications. The position offers uncapped commission potential, with earnings tied to partner applications, readiness to launch, and sustained activity after launch. A monthly phone allowance and mileage reimbursement are provided to support field work. The environment emphasizes autonomy, professionalism, and frequent in-person interaction with local business owners and community organizations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $27.00/hr.
