Job Summary:
The Senior Analyst is responsible for the analysis of highly complex applications, websites, databases and systems, providing third-level technical support, testing, and defect management. Leads team initiatives while simultaneously participating in multiple IT project efforts with limited oversight from leadership. Contributions are felt across a breadth of development efforts.
This role applies and leads modern quality engineering practices, including test strategy, automation, and defect lifecycle management, leveraging modern automation approaches to improve quality, scalability, and efficiency. Serves as a subject matter expert for applications, technologies and integrations, quality engineering practices, or business processes.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Conducts analysis of business and system processes, system data, integration, and reporting
Conducts a full range of testing activities including test strategy, planning, automation design, execution, and quality documentation for applications, systems, databases, and integrations
Designs, develops, and maintains scalable automated test frameworks and solutions that support long-term platform quality and maintainability
Ensures automation solutions are maintainable, reusable, and aligned with development and CI/CD standards
Implements and executes automated test suites across UI, API, and integration layers using modern frameworks
Performs strategic research and defines, tests, documents and manages requirements according to approved standards and procedures
Serves as the application and technical subject matter expert across supported systems and quality engineering practices
Provides and leads defect management activities, ensuring timely identification, triage, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking of issues
Predicts potential problems and provides recommendations and documented solutions according to approved standards and procedures
Provides expertise on the resolution of complex system design, integration, and quality-related issues
Prepares, maintains, and archives detailed system and testing artifacts according to approved standards and procedures
Provides escalated (tier 3) support including on-call support for priority issues and troubleshooting of complex production issues
Leads and supports automation strategy, framework evolution, and tool evaluation aligned with business and IT objectives
Provides technical leadership, mentoring, and work direction to team members, including coordination of offshore testing resources
Delegates testing tasks, reviews deliverables (test cases, defects, automation scripts), and ensures adherence to quality standards, best practices, and timelines
Identifies and leads process improvement efforts with a focus on increasing automation coverage, efficiency, and overall quality outcomes
Contributes to and champions best practices, methods, standards, and processes across quality engineering and software delivery
Leads knowledge sharing and fosters collaboration across IT teams and stakeholders

Knowledge & Experience:
Requires broad knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), quality engineering practices, and test automation frameworks
Strong experience designing and implementing automated testing frameworks and scalable solutions across UI, API, and integration layers
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining automation in enterprise environments
Experience leading or coordinating testing efforts across onshore and offshore teams
Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on engineering delivery with leadership responsibilities
Experience with modern test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, MABL, or comparable tools)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment workflows
Experience with API testing, integration testing, and end-to-end validation across distributed systems
Practical experience with defect management, root cause analysis, and quality metrics
Understanding of system integrations, data flows, and enterprise application ecosystems
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and 6-8 years of relevant experience
Required Skills
Strong hands-on programming experience in TypeScript and Python, with the ability to design, build, debug, and maintain automated test solutions within modern test automation frameworks
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, pytest, MABL, and/or similar tools
Ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and test suites
Strong understanding of both manual and automated testing methodologies, including regression, integration, and API testing
Proven ability to lead testing efforts while remaining actively engaged in hands-on delivery
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to mentor team members and provide technical leadership
Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments
Proficiency with standard business tools (Microsoft Office suite and collaboration tools)
