Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, payment tracking, and vendor account maintenance. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Based on general knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Based on general knowledge.

Review invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests for accuracy and proper approval. Based on general knowledge.

Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers. Based on general knowledge.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly. Based on general knowledge.

Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation. Based on general knowledge.

Respond to vendor inquiries and communicate professionally with internal stakeholders. Based on general knowledge.

Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. Based on general knowledge.

Support audits and help ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Based on general knowledge.

Qualifications:

2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting support experience preferred. Based on general knowledge.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial processing. Based on general knowledge.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems. Based on general knowledge.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Based on general knowledge.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Based on general knowledge.

Requirements - Experience in accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, and payment processing.

Working knowledge of check runs, vendor file maintenance, and accounts payable recordkeeping.

Ability to verify financial data carefully and maintain accuracy in a high-volume processing environment.

Familiarity with general ledger account coding and standard documentation controls for disbursements.

Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal staff and external vendors to resolve payment issues.

Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems used for invoice entry and payment tracking.

Ability to manage multiple deadlines, stay organized, and handle routine administrative support within a finance office.
