Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Industrial Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing emergency and preventive maintenance, and supporting machine changeovers to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical machine issues to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
Perform emergency repairs on production equipment to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operations.
Execute work orders and complete scheduled maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating machines.
Communicate performance issues, safety concerns, and repair needs to the Group Lead or Production Supervisor in a timely and clear manner.
Record production issues and maintenance activities on shift reports to support accurate documentation and communication between shifts.
Update the schedule board with equipment issues and maintenance status to keep the team informed.
Read and interpret blueprints and equipment documentation to support accurate troubleshooting and repairs.
Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to prioritize tasks and support overall production goals.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while performing maintenance, repairs, and equipment adjustments.
Essential Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in machine maintenance and repair.
Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues on production machinery.
Knowledge of printing machines and presses, including printing press operations and components.
Experience with plastics injection molding equipment and processes.
Mechanical certification or equivalent mechanical training and experience.
Experience working with hydraulics and the ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
Experience working with pneumatics, including troubleshooting and maintaining pneumatic components.
Experience working with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) for basic troubleshooting and equipment support.
Ability to perform machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and part replacement.
Ability to perform efficient machine changeovers, including mechanical and set-up adjustments.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic in previous roles.

Work Environment
The role is physically demanding and requires heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and frequent walking, climbing, reaching, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping. You will perform repetitive arm, wrist, and shoulder movements as part of routine maintenance and machine operation tasks.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
