Job Title: Electrical Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician supports reliable production operations by performing electrical, mechanical, and PLC troubleshooting on a variety of industrial equipment. This role focuses on identifying root causes of equipment issues, completing repairs on conveyors, gear boxes, and motors, and performing electrical installations and rewiring to maintain safe and efficient plant performance.
Responsibilities
Perform detailed root cause analysis on equipment failures to prevent recurrence and improve overall equipment reliability.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems to identify faults and restore equipment to proper operation, without needing to write or modify PLC programs.
Diagnose and repair electrical issues, including wiring and rewiring, to ensure equipment operates safely and in compliance with standards.
Install new equipment and components, including electrical and mechanical installations, to support production needs.
Carry out mechanical repairs on production equipment such as conveyors, gear boxes, and motors to minimize downtime.
Work with hydraulic systems as needed to troubleshoot and repair related equipment issues.
Install and maintain conduit and related electrical infrastructure for production equipment.
Read and interpret technical documentation, including PLC information and equipment specifications, to support effective troubleshooting.
Collaborate with other maintenance and production team members to plan and prioritize maintenance activities.
Document maintenance work performed and communicate equipment status to supervisors and relevant stakeholders.
Follow established safety procedures and use appropriate PPE when performing maintenance tasks.
Essential Skills
Proven experience performing root cause analysis on industrial equipment issues.
Hands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting, including identifying and resolving faults using existing programs and documentation.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including electrical wiring and rewiring for industrial equipment.
Experience with installation of production equipment and related components.
Mechanical repair experience on conveyors, gear boxes, motors, and other production equipment.
Ability to read and understand PLC-related information and electrical documentation.
Experience working with hydraulics in an industrial maintenance setting.
Ability to install and work with conduit for electrical systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
Commitment to working safely and using appropriate PPE at all times.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience performing installations in a production or manufacturing environment.
Background in mechanical repairs specifically on production and material handling equipment.
Familiarity with industrial automation components and control systems.
Ability to work effectively on rotating shifts and adapt to changing production priorities.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with maintenance and production teams.
Detail-oriented approach to documenting work and following maintenance procedures.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing environment with large-scale production equipment, including conveyors, motors, gear boxes, and industrial electrical systems. The position follows a rotating shift schedule, with 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 3rd shift from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. A shift differential applies for working 3rd shift. The facility operates with a strong focus on safety, and the company provides personal protective equipment. You will work around HVAC-related equipment, electrical components, and other industrial products that support industries such as HVACR, electrical, consumer hardware retail, electrical utility, automotive retail, and pool and spa channels.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conyers, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $38.50/hr.
