Summary You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst for COMSUBFOR. Responsibilities You will assist the Comptroller by taking on accounting tasks and special projects as assigned. You will be responsible for reviewing and approving accounting transactions and financial reports to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with regulations. You will be responsible to develop, implement, and provide training on standard operating procedures for accounting tasks within Navy ERP. You will be responsible to process complex financial transactions, including obligations, expenditures, collections, and budgetary adjustments. You will analyze financial data and execution variances to identify trends, resolve issues, and provide recommendations to leadership. You will assist in the preparation of official financial statements and support month-end and year-end closing processes. You will serve as a primary point of contact for audit-related inquiries. You will be responsible to ensure all accounting activities comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and federal regulations. You will be responsible to maintain liaison with appropriate staff at various commands and financial service centers to coordinate and resolve complex accounting issues. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Experience and ability to provide technical guidance and direction to other financial analysts on day-to-day accounting operations. (2) Experience to manage and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts within Navy ERP to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity. (3) Experience in preparing a variety of recurring and ad-hoc financial reports from Navy ERP for management and external stakeholders. (4) Experience in following documents from cradle to grave in ERP and other financial systems. (5) Experience in developing job aids and quick reference guides.
