General Accountant

Employment Type: Contract

About the Role:

Are you a detail-oriented general accountant with strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel? We have an exciting opportunity for a General Accountant to join a dynamic organization. This role will involve working on a variety of accounting tasks, including managing financial records, overseeing budgets, reconciling accounts, and producing accurate reports. Responsibilities:

Prepare, maintain, and analyze financial records in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger data entry.

Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy in transactions.

Generate and assess financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

Utilize QuickBooks and Excel to manage day-to-day accounting operations and enhance efficiency.

Assist in budget development and variance analysis.

Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end close processes.

Stay updated on new accounting regulations and standards.

Assist in audits by preparing supporting documentation and addressing inquiries.

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2+ years of accounting experience preferred.

Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced formulas).

Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
