Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Manpower and Reserve Affairs of HQ US MARINE CORPS. Responsibilities You will Perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will review and evaluate budget requests; control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations. You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities. You will be implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing financial findings and making recommendations to improve the accuracy and efficiency of accounting operations while ensuring correct implementation. GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Monitoring financial data, accounting procedures and controls to preclude violation of regulations AND providing financial and accounting advise/training to accounting technicians, budget personnel, and management.
