Job Descriptions:

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

To efffectively plan, communicate, and follow up with material delivery requirement. To ensure prompt and accurate delivery of goods.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Contact suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of the material ordered.

Track and record all expediting and notify buyers of scheduler slips.

Maintains hot list by supplier and vendor and follow through to ensure material availability.

Reviews procurement reports and daily material shortage reports to identify potential and actual material shortages.

Communicate with internal and external parties to resolve material availability issues.

Updates shortages reports and purchase orders to ensure accurate delivery information.

Works closely with purchasing, planning & scheduling, on material re-planning, including material schedule in and schedule out.

Works with both internal and external customers and uses reporting systems.

Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Required Experience:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.

Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors.

Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary.

Ability to adhere to workplace rules.

Strong communication skills required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years related experience required.

Associates degree/ 2-years post-secondary education in business administration, or equivalent experience preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Office environment.

Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.

Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones).

Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
