We are seeking candidates in or near Elk Grove Village who can work across both office and warehouse environments. In this role, you will handle customer communication by phone and email, support order processing, and maintain accurate records related to Purchase and Sales orders. You will also provide support in warehouse operations, including receiving inventory and assisting with order fulfillment. The role combines customer-facing responsibilities with hands-on logistical tasks, requiring strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures. This position is suitable for someone who can shift effectively between office duties and warehouse activities.

Responsibilities

Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email, providing accurate and timely information regarding orders, products, and general service questions.

Address customer complaints or concerns, working to resolve issues efficiently and professionally while supporting overall customer satisfaction goals.

Assist customers with placing orders, tracking existing orders, providing status updates, and helping ensure that all orders are delivered on time.

Maintain and update records of customer interactions, including Purchase Orders, Sales orders, and documented service requests or complaints in the appropriate systems.

Support basic bookkeeping backup activities by applying foundational knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable when required by the office team.

Receive and check incoming shipments in the warehouse, verifying that all items match related purchase orders, packing slips, or invoices accurately.

Accurately count and inspect all incoming inventory for damage, discrepancies, or shortages, promptly reporting any identified issues to the appropriate personnel.

Support order fulfillment in the warehouse for back orders and large orders, including picking, packing, and preparing items for shipping according to established procedures.

Your Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills to manage professional customer interactions by phone and email in a clear and accurate manner.

Ability to handle customer issues, complaints, and escalations while maintaining a professional, solution-focused, and service-oriented approach at all times.

High attention to detail for accurately updating Purchase Orders, Sales orders, customer records, and documentation related to service requests and complaints.

Basic understanding of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions to provide dependable bookkeeping backup support when necessary in the office.

Capability to work effectively in a warehouse environment, including receiving, counting, and inspecting inventory with consistent accuracy and reliability.

Organizational skills to manage both office-based customer service tasks and warehouse support activities while meeting deadlines and service expectations.

Ability to follow established procedures for order fulfillment, including picking, packing, and shipping, to maintain accuracy and compliance with process requirements.

Pay Details: $19.00 per hour
