Job Title: Construction Foreman
Job Description
This role leads a field crew of up to five team members for a site work and civil construction company delivering large projects across the southern Massachusetts South Shore area. The foreman oversees day-to-day field operations, uses Procore to manage project information, and tracks materials on site while reporting directly to the VP of Construction. The position focuses on reviewing plans, coordinating operators and laborers, and driving projects to successful, on-time completion. We are looking for someone with 5+years of experience as a foreman running crews of 5-10 people. A strong ability to read blueprints and experience in utility construction is needed. Starting pay will be between $40 - $48. A hoisting license in MA would be ideal. We have current projects in Brockton, Plymouth, Newton, and Lynn, MA so travel to different sites will be required.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a crew of up to five operators and laborers on site work and civil construction projects.
Plan and coordinate daily field activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of work.
Review construction plans and blueprints to understand project scope, sequencing, and specifications.
Use Procore to manage project documentation, track progress, and communicate updates as needed.
Monitor and track materials on site, ensuring accurate inventory and timely availability for ongoing work.
Operate or oversee the operation of heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, forklifts, backhoes, and grinding equipment as project needs require.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and OSHA requirements at all times on the job site.
Collaborate with the VP of Construction and other project stakeholders to address issues, resolve field challenges, and keep projects on schedule.
Inspect work in progress and completed work to confirm adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
Train, guide, and mentor crew members to build skills, maintain productivity, and support a strong safety culture.
Essential Skills
Minimum 5+ years of experience leading crews on civil construction projects.
Minimum 5+ years of experience working in the site development field.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and blueprints.
Hands-on experience with civil and site work construction activities, including utility construction and site development.
Ability to effectively supervise and coordinate a small field crew in a fast-paced environment.
Experience operating or overseeing heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, forklifts, backhoes, and grinding equipment.
Strong organizational skills to track materials and manage multiple tasks in the field.
Working knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA requirements.
Ability to communicate clearly with field crews and leadership, including providing updates to the VP of Construction.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
OSHA 10 certification.
Experience using Procore or similar construction management software.
Familiarity with utility construction and site development workflows.
Demonstrated ability to complete projects successfully with a dedicated crew of operators and laborers.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
