Job Title: Construction Laborer
Job Description
This role involves performing physical construction labor and cleanup on various commercial building projects, with a strong focus on demolition and debris removal. You will remove building components such as walls, ceilings, floors, studs, doors, windows, and mechanical systems, and safely transport materials to designated disposal areas. The position requires consistent physical effort, attention to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in changing environments and multiple job sites.
Responsibilities
Perform demolition work, including removing walls, ceilings, floors, studs, doors, windows, and mechanical systems as directed.
Carry, lift, and transport construction materials and debris throughout the day, including loads of up to 50 lbs.
Load, move, and dispose of materials and debris into dumpsters or other designated disposal containers.
Use hand tools, including shovels and other basic mechanical and demolition tools, safely and effectively.
Sweep, shovel, and clean work areas to maintain a safe, organized, and debris-free job site.
Follow site instructions, safety guidelines, and project plans while working in and around commercial buildings and school facilities.
Travel independently to various job sites as scheduled and arrive on time, prepared with appropriate gear and equipment.
Stay actively engaged and on your feet throughout the workday, maintaining productivity in hot and physically demanding conditions.
Work collaboratively with the site team, supporting foremen and leads with general labor tasks as needed.
Assist with setup and teardown of work areas, including moving equipment, materials, and tools as required.
Essential Skills
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday.
Experience performing manual labor in construction, demolition, or similarly physical roles.
Comfort working in hot conditions and being on your feet all day while staying productive.
Ability to use basic hand tools and mechanical tools safely, including shovels and other demolition tools.
Reliable transportation to travel to multiple job sites as required.
Consistent attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions on active construction sites.
Capability to work in commercial building environments, including schools and other occupied or previously occupied facilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in demolition, construction cleanup, or general construction labor.
Familiarity with working around mechanical systems and building components.
Willingness to take direction from supervisors and support team members.
Motivation to learn and grow into more advanced roles, such as foreman or crew lead.
Steel toe boots (required as part of appropriate job site footwear).

Work Environment
You will work on commercial construction sites, including school projects and other large buildings, often in hot weather and physically demanding conditions. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
