Role Overview

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Operations Manager 1 for Garden Spot Village, a beautiful and growing upscale continuing care retirement community located in New Holland, Pennsylvania . This position will mainly oversee front-of-house dining operations and will assist in the kitchen. Will report to the General Manager and manage a total staff of approximately 65 hourly employees. Typical schedule will be 9:30am - 6:00pm, may vary with occasional weekend coverage and some holidays.

What You'll Do

have oversight of daily operations of 3 dining rooms;

oversee frontline staff and dining service areas;

assist with menu printing/distribution;

cash management / POS system;

assist at Refresh Coffee Shop;

achieve company and client financial targets and goals;

develop and maintain client and customer relationships;

create a positive environment; and

ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

What You Bring

excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors and managing people and the dining operation to make every day a better day for our clients and residents ;

two or more years of prior food service management experience;

basic culinary knowledge;

knowledge of safety and sanitation compliance;

the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;

proficient in computer skills, POS systems and report management experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degreeor equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 2 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
