Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description
This role oversees all aspects of mechanical maintenance within an industrial facility, with a strong focus on troubleshooting and repairing production equipment and material handling systems. The Maintenance Supervisor works primarily on mechanical systems while coordinating outsourced electrical work, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and minimal downtime across the operation.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day maintenance activities with an emphasis on mechanical work, while coordinating and outsourcing electrical tasks to licensed electricians.
Troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment including band saws, shop blast equipment, plate burning machines, angle master machines, eight overhead cranes, two forklifts, and one aerial lift.
Diagnose and resolve issues involving gears, bearings, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics to keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Perform minor fabrication work, such as repairing roller tables that may be damaged by cranes or applying fill welds to crane runway rails as needed.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to source parts, replacement components, and consumable items in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Interpret blueprints and, when applicable, electrical schematics to support accurate troubleshooting and repair activities.
Work as a one-person maintenance team while coordinating additional support from machine or crane operators when extra assistance is required.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or GED.
2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot gears, bearings, and motors.
Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
Experience working with 480-volt electrical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and work on band saws, shop blast equipment, plate burning machines, angle master machines, overhead cranes, forklifts, and aerial lifts.
Basic fabrication skills, including performing minor weld repairs and structural adjustments.
Knowledge of overhead crane systems and their maintenance requirements.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Comfort working in a role that is approximately 80% mechanical and 20% electrical, with electrical work outsourced as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience reading and using electrical schematics.
Familiarity with 3-phase electrical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot circuits and drives.
Previous supervisory experience is not required but an interest in leading maintenance activities is beneficial.

Work Environment
This is a first-shift position working Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., providing a stable and predictable schedule. On occasion, the Maintenance Supervisor may be called in to support second shift when major issues arise, while minor issues are typically handled without off-shift involvement.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
