Fireproofer

Must be able to prepare and apply fire protection systems and sound control coatings. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure proper materials, tools, and equipment are being used for the specified tasks.

Prepare and apply fire protection systems and sound control using coatings such as cement, gypsum, and acrylic.

Reads blueprints and data to determine requirements for the job.

Must be able to select the amount and @type of fireproofing to be installed as well as a method of application according to the @type and shape of surface.

Demonstrate the installation, fitting, fabrication and attachment of fireproofing materials.

Organize and order material as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education - no minimum education requirements.

Certifications/Licenses: Valid Driver's License.

Experience - 4 years of Journeyman level experience.
