Job Title: Inspector (Entry-Level Labor)
Job Description
This entry-level role involves learning how to inspect glass products in a repetitive, production-based environment. You will receive full training to perform visual and basic quality inspections while supporting material handling and general production activities in a clean, automated manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
Learn and apply established procedures to inspect glass products for quality, defects, and consistency.
Perform repetitive inspection tasks with accuracy and attention to detail throughout the shift.
Handle materials safely, including loading, unloading, and moving glass and related products as needed.
Assist with general labor and production tasks to support overall manufacturing operations.
Use basic production tools and equipment, such as RF scanners, to track materials and finished products.
Support shipping and receiving activities by helping to stage, move, or organize materials and products.
Operate or assist with forklifts and other material handling equipment when trained and authorized.
Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members about issues, defects, or production concerns.
Adhere to production schedules and meet performance and quality expectations set by the facility.
Essential Skills
Ability to perform repetitive inspection tasks with consistent accuracy and focus.
Willingness to learn glass inspection processes and follow detailed instructions.
Comfort working in a manufacturing or production environment.
Basic ability to handle materials safely, including lifting, moving, and organizing products.
Capability to use or learn RF scanners for tracking inventory and products.
Readiness to support shipping and receiving activities as part of daily duties.
Reliability and strong work ethic to support long-term employment and growth.
No formal education or previous experience required; willingness to be trained is essential.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous forklift experience, including sit-down or stand-up forklifts, is preferred but not required.
Prior material handling experience is preferred but not required.
Manufacturing labor or production experience is highly preferred.
Experience in shipping and receiving is a plus.
Familiarity with RF scanners is beneficial.
Any relatable experience in warehouse, logistics, or industrial settings will be useful for training.

Work Environment
The role is based in a typical manufacturing facility that is clean, well laid out, and highly automated. The environment is generally mild, though it can feel cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer, with all work performed indoors. You will work around production equipment, material handling tools, and automated systems, including RF scanners and forklifts, in a structured and safety-focused setting. Dress is appropriate for a manufacturing environment, with practical clothing and any required safety gear provided or specified by the facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tipton, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr.
