This is an excellent opportunity for a recent EE grad who likes being hands-on to get in with a company making battery management systems and engine driven equipment used in a variety of industries.
This is a hands-on role in an engineering lab.
The candidate should have some experience - either through personal projects or internships or school - being hands-on and working with engine related equipment or products or dynamometers.
The candidate calibrates, sets up, and operates sophisticated and specialized measurement and test equipment to support a variety of engineering test projects. This role measures and records test data, interprets results, and prepares clear recommendations and reports. The technician fabricates proto@type components and assemblies, supports product testing, and contributes to the development of schematics, designs, test procedures, and specifications while working hands-on with electrical, electronic, mechanical, and dynamometer-interfaced systems.
Responsibilities
Calibrate, set up, and operate sophisticated and specialized measurement devices and test equipment for assigned engineering projects.
Perform a variety of non-routine engineering test assignments of moderate complexity using advanced measurement and test equipment.
Measure, record, and organize test data accurately for multiple projects and test activities.
Interpret test data and prepare clear, concise recommendations based on findings.
Write detailed test reports and communicate results, conclusions, and recommendations to engineering teams and stakeholders.
Fabricate proto@type components and assemblies for product testing using appropriate tools and methods.
Document all aspects of tests, including objectives, procedures, results, conclusions, and recommendations, in a structured and traceable manner.
Compile, compute, and analyze engineering data to support design validation and product development.
Analyze test-related problems, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
Expedite proto@type parts or assemblies needed to support test schedules and project timelines.
Develop, prepare, and make recommendations for schematics, designs, test procedures, and specifications in collaboration with engineering staff.
Apply electronics, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues with test setups and equipment, including systems interfacing with a dynamometer.
Use complex engineering software tools to support test setup, data acquisition, and analysis, and continuously improve proficiency with these tools.
Essential Skills
Hands-on experience in calibrating, setting up, and using sophisticated and specialized measurement devices and test equipment.
Strong electronics and electrical skills, including the ability to work with wiring and electrical systems.
Mechanical aptitude and experience, particularly with systems that interface with a dynamometer.
Demonstrated troubleshooting skills in electronics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Ability to measure, record, and interpret engineering test data accurately.
Proficiency in documenting test objectives, procedures, results, conclusions, and recommendations in a clear and organized manner.
Capability to compile, compute, and analyze engineering data to support design and testing activities.

Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions in a test environment.
Demonstrated ability to learn and use complex engineering software.
Understanding of at least one specialized technical area relevant to engine-powered equipment or related products.
Associate degree in a technical field or a recent bachelor's degree in a related discipline with a strong interest in hands-on work.
Working, personal, or internship experience with engine-powered equipment or industry-related products.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with dynamometer-based test setups or similar test systems.
Familiarity with developing or contributing to schematics, designs, test procedures, and specifications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting test results.
Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and support multiple projects simultaneously.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing documentation and test records.
Interest in continuous learning and staying current with new test methods, tools, and engineering software.
