Job Description JOB DUTIES:

Communicate with service providers, such as ocean carriers, air freight forwarders, global consolidators, customs brokers, or trucking companies.
Interpret data on logistics elements, such as product availability, supplier reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing/distribution, supplier management, delivery processes, and transportation costs.
Apply analytic methods or tools to understand, predict, or control logistics operations or processes, and analyze logistics data, using methods such as data mining, data modeling, or cost/benefit analysis.
Prepare reports and provide management with data on purchases, inventory, and vendor performance, and assist in cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost-saving, recommending improvements to existing logistics processes in order to optimize workflows, and implement data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure accurate and efficient data entry related to procurement, inventory, and cost calculations.
Work closely with vendors and internal teams to maintain up-to-date records and reports for international food imports.
Manage all incoming containers, ensuring accurate processing and documentation.
Create and manage purchase orders for international suppliers.
Maintain and control the inventory list to ensure accurate stock levels; add new stock items and update inventory records.
Prepare detailed databases with all changes, calculated expenses to determine the cost of goods, and provided cost analysis to the sales director for wholesale price determination.
Create and process invoices, landed costs, credit memos, and issues with products.
Generate reports for vendors detailing quantities sold, stock levels, and purchase orders.
Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to support purchasing operations.
Inform sales personnel about inventory changes and updates, facilitating smooth operations and sales processes.
Track product flow from origin to final delivery, and report any issues to management.
Monitor inventory transactions at warehouse facilities to assess receiving, storage, shipping, or inventory integrity.
Maintain logistics records in accordance with corporate policies.
Contact carriers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure accurate reporting of rates and schedules.
Compute reporting metrics, such as on-time delivery rates, order fulfillment rates, or inventory turns.
Develop or maintain models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating or demand forecasting.
Contact potential vendors to determine product availability and determine packaging requirements for shipping.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business, or similar (Foreign Equivalent accepted);
Minimum of 12 months' related work experience in Logistics, Marketing, Business Analysis, and/or Project Management.

SPECIALTY KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Experience in Data Entry and Analysis, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient understanding of issues and tasks related to supply chains and supplier payment timelines and controls.
Ability to calculate necessary distribution of resources and materials to maximize company revenue.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Must be organized, flexible, and able to work independently.
Be able to make decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Candidate is expected to be forklift-certified.
Ability to utilize the following technical programs and tools:
SAP Business One;
Quickbooks;
WareGo (Warehouse Management System);
LodDepot (Warehouse Inventory/Sales Analytics System);
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook);
Adobe Acrobat.
