NY1650941 Adjunct Instructor - School of Business and Hospitality Job Type: Part-Time/Adjunct Work Arrangement: This position requires on-campus instruction and presence in Utica, NY as needed.

MVCC's School of Business and Hospitality invites applications for part-time Adjunct Instructors. We are seeking Instructors to teach courses in the following disciplines: Business Administration, Accounting, Analytics, Economics, Marketing, Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry, and Food Service Management.

Adjunct faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines. Courses may be taught in traditional classroom settings, virtually, or a combination. This position may include both daytime and evening class assignments. Specific assignments will be made according to the academic qualifications and availability of the individual and the School needs.

Overview of Job Duties:

Facilitate classroom instruction; Teach assigned class in accordance with the learning objectives; Develop and maintain syllabus materials; Evaluate student performance; Maintain grades, enter midterm and final grades; Respond promptly to student inquiries; Maintain attendance records according to MVCC standards; Integrate current and emerging instructional delivery technologies into the learning process; Maintain professional standards that protect student confidentiality; Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing using discretion, patience, and courtesy.

Successful candidates must reside in New York State and have the ability to work on campus as required.
