Floating Teller (Contract) - Gaithersburg, MD
Location: Gaithersburg, MD 20878 (Must be able to float to Rockville and Germantown locations)
Schedule: Full-time (includes some Saturdays)

Duration: 5-month contract (with strong potential for permanent conversion)
Overview
We are hiring a Floating Teller to join a high-volume, customer-focused branch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping people, and is looking to grow within the banking or financial services industry.
This position will primarily focus on the cash handling side of teller operations and requires flexibility to support nearby branches when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional service to members and prospective members
Process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and payments
Accurately handle cash in a high-volume environment
Assist members with basic account services and inquiries
Maintain compliance with banking policies and procedures
Support team operations and contribute to a positive branch environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
1+ year of customer-facing experience (banking, retail, or service industry preferred)
Experience with cash handling
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Previous banking or financial services experience
Familiarity with account services or financial products
Experience with data entry or administrative tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Work Environment
Busy, high-energy branch setting
Supportive and collaborative team (~14 employees)
Frequent interaction with a diverse member base, including families and retirees
Peak traffic days include Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays
Schedule
Monday - Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM
Saturday: 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM
One weekday off provided when working Saturdays
Travel Requirement
This role requires flexibility to float between nearby branches, including locations in Rockville and Germantown, as needed. Candidates must be comfortable traveling between sites (typically within 10-20 minutes).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.28 - $23.28/hr.
