Our client, an esteemed academic institution specializing in health sciences, is seeking a dedicated Office Assistant to join their team. As an Office Assistant, you will be an integral part of the University of Michigan's School of Dentistry supporting administrative operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Office Assistant

Location: Ann Arbor, MI

Pay Range: $23

Shift: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 8am-5pm

What's the Job?

Perform administrative work within an academic, research, or business unit

Coordinate the use of facilities, services, or equipment

Assist in accounting, budgeting, and related fiscal activities

Maintain and reconcile detailed budgets and monitor account expenditures

Represent the department in administrative matters and attend staff meetings

What's Needed?

Graduation from a college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field and one year of general business experience

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum educational level of high school graduation and at least five years of responsible clerical or business office experience, including accounting and office management duties

Ability to perform detailed budget reconciliation and monitor expenditures effectively

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in administrative and clerical tasks
