Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager to support dining and retail operations at East Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas . This position is ideal for an experienced food service leader with a strong background in residential dining, retail food operations, and customer service a high-volume operations.

What You'll Do

Lead daily operations across residential dining and retail food venues, ensuring efficient execution and exceptional customer service;

Supervise, train, and develop frontline staff to foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement;

Support catering operations and special events, ensuring successful planning and execution;

Manage labor scheduling, productivity, and staffing to meet operational needs;

Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and Sodexo standards;

Assist with inventory management, cost controls, and operational reporting;

Partner with culinary and campus leadership teams to support dining programs and enhance the overall guest experience.

What You Bring

Experience managing food service operations in a high-volume dining, retail, hospitality, or campus environment;

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop diverse teams;

Knowledge of retail food concepts, customer service best practices, and operational excellence;

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills;

Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on service and quality;

Proficiency with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degreeor equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 2 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
