Job Description
A distribution company that manufactures automotive parts is seeking a long-term 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate to support shipping, receiving, and general warehouse operations. This role focuses on receiving and restocking inventory, picking and packaging orders, and loading and unloading materials using RF scanners and warehouse equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and restock inventory, including dispatch and overstock items.
Load and unload materials from trucks safely and efficiently.
Pick orders for the automotive industry using rolling stairs and RF scanners to reach materials stored at various heights.
Break down boxes and package items securely for shipment according to company standards.
Use order rolling stairs, pickers, RF scanners, and pallet jacks to fulfill and move orders throughout the warehouse.
Assist Warehouse Supervisors and team members with daily tasks and special projects as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including breaking down packaging and disposing of waste appropriately.
Work independently and stay self-motivated to meet productivity and accuracy goals in a fast-paced environment.
Follow all safety procedures when climbing rolling safety ladders, operating equipment, and handling materials.
Support receiving operations on 2nd shift (2:00 PM-10:30 PM), including mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays as required.
Essential Skills
Experience performing general labor in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Ability to use RF scanners for picking, receiving, and inventory tasks.
Order picking experience, including packing and packaging items for shipment.
Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
Capability to load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Comfort using rolling safety ladders, typically 5-7 steps, and willingness to occasionally use taller rolling stairs (up to approximately 15 feet) when needed for shipping.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms throughout the shift.
Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat as required by warehouse tasks.
Ability to speak, read, and write English to follow instructions, labels, and safety information.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with automotive parts or in an automotive distribution environment is a plus.
Previous experience using RF scanners, pickers, and rolling stairs is beneficial.
Prior exposure to shipping, receiving, and restocking processes in a warehouse setting.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when picking and packaging orders.
Self-motivated work style with the ability to manage time and tasks effectively.
Willingness to work 2nd shift (2:00 PM-10:30 PM), Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily as needed and occasional Saturdays.

Work Environment
This is a 2nd shift position with core hours from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours per day as needed and occasional Saturday shifts. The role is based in a busy distribution warehouse where automotive parts are manufactured and shipped. The noise level is usually high due to forklifts and other machinery operating throughout the facility. Work involves frequent use of RF scanners, pallet jacks, rolling safety ladders, and order pickers, as well as regular climbing of stairs to access inventory. The position is physically demanding, requiring regular lifting, carrying, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and reaching for the duration of the shift. The dress code includes a plain shirt with no logos for alcohol or similar products, jeans without holes, and closed-toe shoes to maintain a safe and professional environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
