Job Title: Electrical Repair Technician
Job Description
The Repair Technician tests, troubleshoots, and repairs FAA-approved temperature-controlled cargo containers while ensuring they are clean, safe, and fully operational. This role combines hands-on mechanical and electrical work with warehouse operations, including material movement, stock monitoring, and documentation of all maintenance activities. The technician also supports customers in the area with technical assistance, training, and demonstrations of FAA-approved active systems.
Responsibilities
Test, troubleshoot, and repair FAA-approved temperature-controlled cargo containers to ensure reliable performance.
Inspect containers and deliver them clean and free from defects that could affect operation or performance.
Patch holes on cargo containers using appropriate tools and materials.
Perform de-riveting and riveting on cargo containers as part of repair and refurbishment activities.
Use a multimeter to read voltage and measure high resistance, diagnosing electrical issues accurately.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic, electrical, and refrigeration-related issues on the containers.
Assemble and reassemble mechanical and electrical components of containers and related systems.
Respond to technical assistance requests from customers in the area in a timely and professional manner.
Provide training and demonstrations of FAA-approved active temperature-control systems to customers in the area.
Document all work performed using the CATS system and the C-Safe work order (WO) system to maintain accurate service records.
Monitor stock levels of spare parts and report or initiate replenishment as needed.
Manage warehouse activities related to material movement, storage, and organization of containers and parts.
Maintain the repair facility in a clean, safe, and operational condition, following relevant guidelines and best practices.
Follow FAA guidelines and applicable standards when working on containers and related equipment.
Essential Skills
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to work confidently with hand tools and mechanical assemblies.
Electrical aptitude with the ability to understand and work on electrical systems.
Ability to use a multimeter to read voltage and measure high resistance accurately.
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems.
Experience with repair, assembly, and troubleshooting of equipment, including refrigeration or HVAC-related components.
Ability to follow FAA guidelines and standards when working on approved containers and equipment.
1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse or similar operational environment.
Ability to document work clearly and accurately using digital work order and tracking systems.
Capability to maintain a clean and safe work area in a repair or warehouse facility.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with unit load devices (ULD) is a plus.
Experience in electronics, electrical work, or HVAC/refrigeration equipment repair is beneficial.
Familiarity with troubleshooting and repair of active temperature-controlled systems is advantageous.
Experience in environments that follow military or aviation-related guidelines is an asset.
Comfort working in a hands-on role that combines mechanical, electrical, and warehouse responsibilities.
Ability to provide basic training and demonstrations to customers on technical systems.

Work Environment

The facility is not environmentally controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. Work involves regular use of hand tools, multimeters, and other equipment required for mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration-related repairs. The position includes time on the shop floor and in warehouse areas, with a focus on maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace while handling containers, parts, and materials.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
