Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Job Description
The Warehouse Associate supports production by accurately staging, tracking, and delivering inventory while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse. This role works closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure materials are available when needed and inventory records are consistently accurate in the ERP system.
Responsibilities
Receive, stage, and deliver inventory to support production work orders in a timely and accurate manner.
Accurately track all inventory movements using the ERP system (such as Sage or similar), ensuring records are up to date and error free.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Support inventory transfers between departments, including production, quality control, and engineering, to ensure smooth material flow.
Participate in daily production meetings to align on priorities, understand material needs, and adjust tasks based on changing requirements.
Perform cycle counts and inventory audits, investigate discrepancies, and help implement corrective actions.
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including processing inbound and outbound shipments and completing required documentation.
Use barcode scanning and RF equipment to track inventory locations, movements, and transactions.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, when applicable, to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment or internal use, ensuring correct quantities and proper labeling.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory issues and support overall production goals.
Essential Skills
Experience in inventory management, including tracking, labeling, and organizing stock with a high degree of accuracy.
Proficiency with ERP systems such as Sage or similar platforms for recording and monitoring inventory movements.
Strong attention to detail to ensure correct quantities, proper documentation, and error-free processing.
Effective time management and prioritization skills to handle multiple tasks and adapt to shifting production needs.
Clear and professional communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and shortages.
Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including inbound and outbound logistics and related documentation.
Ability to maintain an organized, clean, and compliant warehouse environment.
Team-oriented mindset with a focus on supporting production goals and collaborating across departments.
Hands-on experience with order picking, packing, loading, and warehouse inventory activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience performing cycle counting and inventory audits, including investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Familiarity with barcode scanning and RF equipment for tracking inventory and locations.
Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, where applicable.
Experience in shipping and receiving, including handling documentation and coordinating with carriers.
Comfort working in a structured warehouse setting with established processes and standards.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
