Job Summary and Qualifications

The Administrative Assistant performs clerical and receptionist duties in accordance with the mission and values of Sky Ridge Medical Center. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for greeting visitors at the control desk; answering telephones; scheduling add-on cases under the direction of the charge RN; maintaining clerical supplies and forms; and completing duties required for the daily operation of the unit. The Administrative Assistant assists the Charge Nurse and Director of the OR with day-to-day duties and responsibilities as assigned. The Administrative Assistant participates in department performance improvement initiatives. Administrative Assistant demonstrates advanced skills and knowledge in OR operations, assisting charge RN in scheduling of urgent and emergent cases; staff assignments, and coordination of all departmental operations.
