Bookkeeper needed in Medley, FL! This is an urgent need and will move quickly!

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure the accuracy of financial records. In this role, you maintain general ledger activity, prepare financial reports, and assist with month-end close processes. You work closely with leadership to support budgeting and forecasting while ensuring all financial information remains accurate, organized, and compliant with company policies.

Responsibilities

Maintain and record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts as needed.

Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and balance sheets.

Ensure financial records are accurate, up to date, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Monitor cash flow and support leadership with budgeting and forecasting activities.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data in a timely and accurate manner.

Maintain organized financial documentation to support audits, internal reviews, and reporting requirements.

Collaborate with leadership and office staff to provide clear financial information and support decision-making.

Essential Skills

Minimum 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience.

Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) preferred.

Proficiency with Excel preferred, including working with spreadsheets and basic formulas.

Solid understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and balance sheet accounts.

Experience with account reconciliations, including bank and credit card accounts.

High attention to detail and accuracy in all financial work.

Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

Strong attendance, reliability, and a consistent work ethic.

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position in a family-owned and operated concrete manufacturing business. You work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in a close-knit office environment alongside the President and a small, collaborative team. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Medley, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
