Job Title: 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate (Forklift Operator)
Job Description
This 2nd shift Warehouse Associate role focuses on operating a sit-down forklift and supporting production activities in a clean, organized agricultural seed warehouse. You will work Monday through Friday from 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., handling, stacking, and labeling large seed bags while following established production policies and procedures. The position requires consistent heavy lifting, attention to safety, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload agricultural seed bags throughout the warehouse.
Stack large seed bags, typically 2-3 bags high, ensuring stable and secure placement to maintain safety and product integrity.
Apply general knowledge of production policies and procedures to support daily production operations.
Lift, carry, and throw seed bags as needed when not operating the forklift, including handling bags that resemble large bags of rice or grass seed.
Assist with labeling products accurately to ensure correct identification and traceability.
Help with bagging products and preparing them for shipping, receiving, and warehouse distribution activities.
Support picking orders and staging products for shipment according to production and warehouse schedules.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following warehouse housekeeping standards.
Follow all safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment, including steel-toe footwear.
Perform repetitive tasks with consistency and attention to detail while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
Essential Skills
Previous warehouse experience in a production, distribution, or logistics environment.
Hands-on forklift experience, specifically with sit-down forklifts, in a warehouse or production setting.
Work experience in production operations, including familiarity with basic production policies and procedures.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more on a consistent basis throughout the shift.
Capability to perform repetitive physical tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy.
Basic understanding of shipping, receiving, and order picking processes.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety and operational guidelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in warehouse distribution environments handling bulk or bagged products.
Prior involvement in shipping and receiving operations, including staging and organizing products.
Comfort operating material handling equipment in a fast-paced production setting.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to assist with various warehouse and production tasks as needed.

Work Environment

The work environment is climate-influenced but not fully climate-controlled, with temperatures typically in the mid-40s to 50s Fahrenheit during winter months and warmer conditions in the summer. You will work a 2nd shift schedule from 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The position involves frequent use of sit-down forklifts, handling large seed bags, and performing repetitive lifting and stacking tasks. The dress code requires a T-shirt, jeans, and steel-toe footwear with no exceptions, reflecting a safety-first culture. The facility emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards to support efficient production and warehouse operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
