Job Title: Medical Assembler
Job Description
The Medical Assembler produces and inspects catheter devices by hand and with specialized equipment in a clean room environment. This role follows detailed work instructions to assemble medical devices for the heart, using small instruments, soldering techniques, and microscopes. The position requires precise documentation for each product and a strong commitment to performing every step correctly the first time.
Responsibilities
Assemble various catheter devices by hand and through the use of specialized equipment in a clean room environment.
Use small instruments to solder and assemble catheters for cardiac applications, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
Operate and work under a microscope to handle and assemble very small parts with precision.
Follow written work instructions and procedures accurately throughout the assembly process.
Inspect medical devices and components for quality, defects, and compliance with specifications.
Perform wire assembly and catheter assembly tasks according to established standards.
Package finished medical devices in accordance with defined procedures and quality requirements.
Document production, inspection results, and other required information for each product accurately and legibly.
Apply high attention to detail to ensure every manufacturing step is completed correctly the first time.
Collaborate with team members and follow established processes to maintain a controlled and clean manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills
2+ years of experience in a medical device clean room manufacturing environment.
1+ year of catheter-specific experience or manual soldering experience.
Hands-on experience with medical device assembly and catheter assembly.
Proficiency in manual soldering of small components.
Ability to understand and interpret written procedures and work instructions.
Experience working with microscopes and very small parts.
Strong hand dexterity and fine motor skills for detailed assembly work.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality in a regulated environment.
Proficiency in basic math and mathematical problem-solving.
High school diploma or GED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with wire assembly in a manufacturing or assembly setting.
Familiarity with inspection and packaging processes for medical devices.
Ability to follow documentation processes and accurately record production data.
Comfort working in a clean room and controlled environment.
Ability to read and understand basic blueprints or technical diagrams.
Strong organizational skills and ability to follow standardized processes consistently.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
