The Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a mission-driven, experienced administrative assistant to fill the role ofRedactor - Boston Legal Office. The selected candidate will be responsible for case redaction activities that may take place at either the regional or area office. Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all Inclusive): · Direct redaction responsibility of confidential consumer records. · May be required to transport case files to and from the regional and area offices. · Responsible for preparing the redacted case record for management signature and distribution. Preferred Qualifications: · Knowledge of clerical office practices and procedures, including office filing, typing, and the use of office equipment and supplies, business letter and report preparation, etc. · Capacity to maintain systems to facilitate workflow; demonstrated skills in prioritizing and organizing workload. - Demonstrated ability to work independently with detailed assignments. · Capability to work on and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. · Ability to recognize when it is appropriate to consult with a social worker, supervisor, legal counsel, or management. · Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. · Ability to establish timelines, work plans, and follow through on assignments. · Ability to establish systems to support the timely completion of assigned work. · Demonstrated ability to utilize Word, Excel, Access, and FamilyNet System. · Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations. · A current and valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's license or the equivalent from another state may be required.
