As an Access Control Officer in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support site operations through visible presence, routine patrols, and clear communication. This role offers the chance to help deter security-related incidents, assist employees and visitors, and deliver trusted service while embodying Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, verifying credentials, and supporting access control activities at the location.

Monitor entry and exit points for people, vehicles, and/or deliveries, help to deter unauthorized access, and maintain required logs, records, and/or reports related to security-related activity.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency responders when appropriate.

Support traffic flow at gates, docks, and/or designated access areas by checking identification, directing arrivals, and documenting visitor, carrier, and/or shipment information according to post procedures.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to access points, loading and unloading areas, and other key locations where working conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

A guard card/license is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
