Medical Receptionist

Description We are looking for an experienced and dependable Medical Receptionist to support a busy healthcare office. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming patient experience while keeping front-desk operations organized and efficient. The person in this role will manage daily patient interactions, coordinate appointments, and maintain accurate information within the practice management system.

Responsibilities:

Welcome patients at the front desk, assist with arrival procedures, and ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process.

Coordinate and confirm appointments while helping maintain an organized daily schedule for the office.

Respond to incoming phone calls professionally, address routine questions, and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff when needed.

Enter and update patient demographic details accurately in the electronic medical records system, including eClinicalWorks when applicable.

Provide courteous front-office support that helps patients feel comfortable and well-informed during their visit.

Assist with general reception and administrative tasks to keep daily operations running efficiently. Requirements - Prior experience in a medical front desk, receptionist, or similar patient-facing administrative role.

Ability to schedule patients accurately and manage multiple appointments in a fast-paced setting.

Comfortable handling patient check-in and check-out activities with attention to detail.

Strong phone etiquette and communication skills when assisting patients and internal staff.

Familiarity with basic medical terminology used in a healthcare office.

Experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred, though not required.
