Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support a fast-paced accounting team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Process AP invoices daily through automated systems (including PO and non-PO invoices)

Perform 2-way and 3-way matching and validate supporting documentation

Handle payment requests, weekly freight uploads, and invoice corrections (offsets)

Research and resolve unpaid or blocked invoices and vendor discrepancies

Review vendor statements and communicate with vendors on payment status

Assist with weekly check runs, mailing payments, and electronic deposits

Support general AP functions and maintain accurate records

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required (Associate's or Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance preferred)

1+ year of administrative or accounting support experience (entry-level candidates welcome)

Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office; ERP systems (SAP preferred)

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines

Effective communication and ability to collaborate across teams

This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
