Program Coordination
Plan, organize, administer, and manage multiple scholarship programs. Serve as the program's expert/professional resource for students, faculty, staff, and community partners (high schools, United Way, Donors, Riverland Foundation, and other partners). Promote cooperation among the local community, local high schools, and the college to identify new and emerging initiatives, increase college enrollment and demonstrate commitment to the community.
Review and monitor scholarship program performance and processes, in coordination with academic advising, financial aid, business office, Riverland Foundation, and community partners. Ensure students receive maximum assistance and the college remains in compliance with governing statutes, regulations, rules, and guidelines.
Track and report on students' academic progress in each scholarship program. Identify at-risk students and develop and implement retention strategies for academic success and recovery to ensure student retention and successful completion of their academic programs. Create and analyze data on student completion for reporting purposes.
Interpret each scholarship criteria as well as Riverland. Minnesota State, and federal statutes, policies, and guidelines and translate them into program procedures and processes so that students consistently receive services in a timely manner. Document these processes, procedures, and feedback to ensure consistency and continuity for scholarship awards while problem-solving issues with students to overcome achievement barriers.
Analyze data to identify gaps and render a solution with support from the Director of High School transition Advising. Develop methods to integrate data from all partners and select, gather, and analyze appropriate data elements to develop recommendations for implementing and improving procedures and for academic initiatives to assist student retention and success. Consult internal and external stakeholders to create and execute effective and integrated equity and diversity strategies and initiatives to meet scholarship program goals.
Coordinate, schedule, and develop outreach, promotional and marketing materials for the programs and events in collaboration with Director of High School Transition Advising and Riverland's Communication and Marketing Department. Facilitate media requests and collaborate with the Riverland Foundation on other opportunities to promote the programs.
Ensure college data integrity, reliability, and accuracy of student records. Identify and help resolve student record data integrity issues. Maintain the confidentiality of student information as required by FERPA.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years related work experience - OR - bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related work experience - OR - an equivalent combination of education and experience. An associate degree could be substituted for 6 months of experience, a bachelor's degree is 12 months, and a master's degree is 18 months within any of the following disciplines: Higher Education, Social Sciences, Psychology, or related field.
Experience with project management from inception through execution and evaluation.
Specialty computer software applications and systems sufficient to manage, query, and analyze data and create reports for presentations for decision-making.
Critical thinking sufficient to conceptualize, apply, analyze, synthesize, and/or evaluate information and data from a variety of sources actively and skillfully.
Effective oral and written communication skills sufficient to prepare and present complex information clearly for diverse audiences and to facilitate group meetings.
Experience working effectively with students from diverse and traditionally underserved backgrounds with varied needs.
Human relations/customer service skills sufficient to effectively listen to and assess student needs, provide accurate information and appropriate solutions, meet quality of service needs, and evaluate overall student satisfaction.
Preferred Qualification
Five (5) or more years of experience working in Higher Education.
Two (2) or more years of program/project coordination.
Knowledge of federal, state. and college policies and procedures, programs and curriculum, services, and resources for admissions, financial aid, records and registration, and student life to assist applicants and students in making sound educational and career decisions.
Knowledge of research and evaluation methods sufficient to measure and determine program effectiveness.
Bilingual/multilingual fluent in Spanish, Karen, Karenni, Somali, Pohnpeian, French, Nuer, Anuak, or other languages that reflect our student body, workforce, and communities.
Demonstrated experience working with multicultural and underserved populations.
