Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician operates and supports CNC machining centers in a clean, modern, and temperature-controlled production environment. This role involves setting up and monitoring CNC machines, performing basic troubleshooting, and ensuring parts meet precise specifications through accurate measurement and inspection. The position combines hands-on mechanical work, quality checks, and general production support to keep manufacturing operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Operate and support CNC machining centers, including machine setup, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting to maintain safe and efficient production.
Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into and out of CNC machines, handling items weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
Monitor multiple CNC machines simultaneously to ensure continuous operation and adherence to production schedules.
Change and adjust machine tools, fixtures, and offsets as required to meet production specifications and quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and promptly report any mechanical or operational issues to the appropriate personnel.
Conduct in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Interpret and work from technical blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to ensure all parts meet exact dimensional and quality requirements.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to support production tasks and minor adjustments on machines or components.
Carry out general production and support duties around the CNC machining centers as needed, including staging materials and organizing work areas.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in accordance with facility standards and safety procedures.
Support different production areas such as surface preparation (blast and polish), mixed-model lines, or other assigned groups as required.
Essential Skills
Demonstrated basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery and mechanical components.
Ability to operate or support CNC machines in a manufacturing environment, or strong willingness and aptitude to learn.
Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to perform accurate quality checks.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical blueprints, schematics, and written work instructions.
Experience using hand tools and power tools safely in a production or mechanical setting.
Capability to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to stand for long periods of time while operating or supporting production equipment.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliable job tenure demonstrating commitment and dependability.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate parts.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while monitoring multiple tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Any prior experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Experience with CNC machines, including setup, tool changes, or basic programming adjustments, is beneficial.
Relatable experience in production, machining, or mechanical roles that involved inspection and measurement is advantageous.
Familiarity with inspection practices and use of gauges and other precision measuring instruments is preferred.
Comfort working across different production areas such as surface preparation, mixed-model lines, or specialized product groups.
Strong character and a team-oriented mindset, with the ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions accurately.

Work Environment
The role is based in a brand-new, state-of-the-art, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility that is very clean and safety-focused. You will work around CNC machining centers and related production equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges on a daily basis. Multiple openings are available across different production areas, including surface preparation (blast and polish), mixed-model lines, and specialized groups. The facility operates on four primary shift options, and candidates must be open to any of the following: a weekday daytime shift (Monday to Wednesday, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.), an overnight weekday shift (Monday to Wednesday, approximately 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.), a weekend daytime shift (Thursday to Saturday, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.), and a weekend overnight shift (Thursday to Saturday, approximately 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.). The work involves standing for extended periods, regularly lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving parts in and out of machines while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the facility.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $23.25/hr.
