Job Title: Construction Laborer
Job Description
This role involves performing a wide range of general labor tasks on a commercial construction site, specifically focused on the renovation of a distribution facility. The construction laborer supports interior renovation activities, assists with installation of new racking systems, and handles materials using hand and power tools while maintaining a safe and efficient work area.
Responsibilities
Perform general labor functions on a commercial construction site during the renovation of a distribution facility.
Support interior renovation activities, including drywall work, concrete-related tasks, and rough carpentry as directed.
Assist with the installation of new racking systems, ensuring accurate placement and secure assembly.
Move, load, and unload construction materials throughout the facility in a safe and efficient manner.
Utilize hand tools and hand power tools, such as drills, saws, and other construction equipment, to complete assigned tasks.
Use shovels and other manual tools to prepare, clean, or modify work areas as needed.
Perform concrete-related tasks, which may include basic concrete work or concrete cutting under supervision.
Follow all site safety procedures and use tools and equipment according to established guidelines.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with general site cleanup as required.
Collaborate with other crew members and follow instructions from site leadership to complete daily work assignments on schedule.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 3+ years of experience working on a commercial construction job site.
Proven experience performing general labor functions on construction projects, including renovation work.
Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools and hand power tools.
Experience with racking installation or similar assembly work in a construction or industrial environment.
Ability to perform tasks using shovels and other manual tools for extended periods.
Capability to lift and carry 50-75 lbs on a regular basis as part of daily duties.
Hands-on experience with drywall work and basic carpentry tasks.
Experience with concrete-related work in a construction setting.
Understanding of basic construction safety practices and willingness to follow all site safety rules.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with concrete work and concrete cutting is highly valued.
Carpentry or rough carpentry is considered an asset.
Prior experience with drywall installation or repair is a value add.
Previous work on renovation projects within distribution or industrial facilities is beneficial.
Comfort working with a variety of construction tools and equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
