Job Title: Shipping and Receiving- Warehouse Production Associate- 9:30am-6:30pm
Job Description
The Shipping and Receiving supports warehouse operations by receiving inbound freight, processing and shipping outbound orders, and performing light assembly. This role uses bar code scanners and multiple computer systems to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory control. The position involves consistent movement, packaging boxes, and working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
Responsibilities
Receive inbound freight, verify accuracy against documentation, and ensure proper placement in the warehouse.
Process and ship outbound orders by picking items from order sheets and preparing them for shipment.
Use bar code scanners and handheld tools to track, pick, pack, and ship products accurately.
Perform light assembly tasks as needed to complete orders.
Work on the packing line to package boxes efficiently and accurately.
Use standing desk workstations to check the accuracy of order sheets and completed orders.
Maintain accurate inventory records by assisting with cycle counts and physical inventory.
Complete accurate data entry using multiple computer systems and programs.
Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, and scales in a safe manner.
Stock and move materials throughout the warehouse to ensure proper organization and accessibility.
Lift and move materials weighing 50-60 lbs safely throughout an 8-hour shift, requesting team lifts for items over 50 lbs when needed.
Follow clear performance metrics and hourly goals posted on warehouse whiteboards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse by following established procedures, rules, and safety standards.
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
Support inventory control efforts by ensuring materials are labeled, stored, and documented correctly.
Essential Skills
Previous warehouse or inventory control experience.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks such as packaging boxes and scanning bar codes.
Ability to safely lift and move 50-60 lbs throughout an 8-hour shift.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to use bar code scanners and handheld tools for picking, packing, and shipping.
Ability to use basic hand tools for light assembly and warehouse tasks.
Comfort being trained to use cherry pickers and other material handling equipment.
Ability to operate pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, and scales safely.
Attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking, packing, and data entry.
Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with warehouse procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with cherry pickers or any @type of forklift is highly preferred but not mandatory.
Experience working in environments that use clear performance metrics and hourly goals.
Familiarity with multiple computer systems and programs for data entry and inventory tracking.
Experience in high-volume distribution or fulfillment environments, such as large e-commerce or logistics operations.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in roles that require continuous movement, repetitive tasks, and attention to detail.

Work Environment
The role is based in a brand-new warehouse facility that is not climate controlled, with large ceiling fans circulating airflow to improve comfort. The environment is active and hands-on, with employees frequently moving, lifting, and working on packing lines and at standing desk workstations. The warehouse uses bar code scanners, handheld tools, pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, scales, and computer systems as part of daily operations. Complimentary beverages such as water, soda, and energy drinks are available in the cantina, with snacks offered for purchase and all items scanned to support proper restocking. The setting emphasizes safety, organization, and teamwork while maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.
