Job Title: Kitting Lead (Weekend, 1st Shift)
Job Description
This role leads kitting activities on a weekend first shift, focusing on accurately breaking down and assembling kits in a fast-paced, clean manufacturing environment. You will handle materials such as bolts, screws, panels, and heavy boxes while using warehouse tools and scanning equipment to ensure precise counting, picking, packing, and loading of components.
Responsibilities
Break down kits and organize components according to visual aids and work instructions.
Count parts and materials effortlessly and accurately to ensure correct quantities in each kit.
Handle and move materials such as bolts, screws, panels, and other components safely and efficiently.
Lift and move boxes and materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Use scan guns and RF scanners to pick, track, and verify materials and kit contents.
Perform picking, packing, loading, and packaging tasks in alignment with production and warehouse requirements.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all kitting and material handling activities.
Follow all directions, procedures, and visual aids to ensure consistent and accurate work.
Support production and warehouse operations by staging and organizing materials for downstream processes.
Contribute to maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area in the manufacturing site.
Essential Skills
Previous experience in a detail-oriented position.
Proven ability to count parts and materials accurately and consistently.
Experience with material handling in a production or warehouse environment.
Ability to follow directions and work from visual aids.
Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
Experience with kitting, kitting specialist work, or similar roles.
Experience using scan guns and RF scanners for picking and tracking materials.
Demonstrated stable work history and interest in long-term growth opportunities.
Reliable references that can verify prior work performance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience as a material handler, kitter, or in assembly and production environments.
Warehouse packing experience, including loading and packaging tasks.
Familiarity with structured manufacturing or logistics environments.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Interest in growing within a company that offers long-term career paths.
Comfort working with hardware components such as bolts, screws, and panels.

Work Environment
This position operates on a weekend first shift schedule, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The role is based in an extremely clean manufacturing site with plans to grow into a large, climate-controlled campus. The environment combines production and warehouse activities, including material handling, kitting, picking, packing, loading, and the use of scan guns and RF scanners. Composite safety shoes are required as part of the dress code, and the facility provides amenities such as a break room and a recreation center to support employee comfort during long shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.15 - $24.15/hr.
