Job Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing shared services organization supporting a portfolio of wholly owned and outsourced companies. This team provides centralized Accounting, HR, and IT services, and is looking for someone who can step in quickly to support high-volume invoice processing and ensure timely vendor payments.

This is a 6-month contract opportunity based in Willmar, MN, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and is comfortable working across multiple entities.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Process a high volume of invoices accurately using MetaViewer software

Review, code, and route invoices for approval in alignment with internal controls

Ensure timely processing of payments to vendors to maintain strong relationships

Monitor AP inbox and respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status

Reconcile discrepancies and resolve invoice/payment issues

Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit readiness

Collaborate with internal teams across accounting, HR, and IT within the shared services model

Skills and Requirements

2+ years of experience within Accounts Payable or related accounting function

Experience processing invoices in a high-volume environment

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Comfortable working in a shared services or multi-entity environment

Basic understanding of accounting principles and AP workflows

Experience with MetaViewer or similar invoice processing systems Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)

Experience working in a corporate or IT-focused organization
